LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER (LGFB)
Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) is the only international cancer support charity that helps women and teenagers manage the visible side effects of cancer treatment.

Their free confidence boosting skincare and make-up Workshops and Masterclasses are held across the UK for women undergoing treatment for any type of cancer. Led by LGFB Beauty Volunteers, the sessions are an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation whilst being taught vital skills such as how to draw on missing eyebrows and eyelashes.

They have also created lots of online tutorials for those who are unable to attend one of their sessions or who would like some extra advice.

OWISE
OWise is a free app for people with breast cancer, helping them to regain control of their lives from the first day of diagnosis. OWise has been designed to empower patients with personalised information and self-management tools.
The app provides the user with personalised medical information based on the user’s profile details, as well as a tailored list of suggested questions to help them improve conversations with their clinicians. Patients can also actively monitor their treatment side-effects over time and share their progress with their clinical team and loved ones.
Additionally, OWise enables patients to store, enter and visualise all the information about their cancer treatment in one secure place (appointments, treatment plan, notes, photos and audio recordings).

THE LITTLE PRINCESS TRUST
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people up to the age of 24 who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions.
The charity has, since 2016, also committed more than £7million to projects focused on kinder and more effective treatments for childhood cancers.

If you are tired of the stares and the dismissive suggestions to “wear a wig”, you will find understanding and, indeed, empowerment among us. Permanent hair loss after chemotherapy for breast cancer is sadly being dismissed, downplayed or ignored by the medical world. We need it to be discussed at all the breast cancer seminars, conferences and included in all literature. Life after cancer matters. Quality of life matters. Patients' rights matter.
